Welded Hinge Steel Belt Conveyors built by Transcon increase customer productivity.  We build efficient, highest quality, and reliable conveyors that withstand the most punishing environments. In short, Transcon conveyors increase your productivity by solving your operational issues.

Built to be tough with chain driven designs and robust welded hinge steel belting in heavy duty frames. These belts help increase your efficiency with a wide array of customization’s based on your applications.

Light or Heavy-Duty Applications? Transcon has You Covered

Transcon’s Welded Hinge Steel Belt Conveyors handle both light and heavy-duty applications. In fact, our design is driven by your specific process needs.

For lighter duty applications Transcon builds 2-1/2″ and 4″ pitch systems. Ideal for applications like chips and turnings, quench tanks, or small parts. These also work well for steel stamping scrap that is lighter in volume and gauge.

Our heavier duty 6″ and 9″ pitch systems live up to the toughest applications. These systems are excellent for baler feed, castings, chopped slitter scrap and crop ends. Additionally, these heavier duty systems are ideal for large conveyor runs, steel and aluminum billets, large hot parts, and scrap.

All the Customizations You Need with Welded Hinge Steel Belt Conveyors

Transcon understands small processing changes can have a major impact. Shaving seconds off a process eventually adds up to hours. Those hours make a real difference in your productivity levels as well as your bottom line. Accordingly, our Transcon team takes the time to understand your application and creates the customizations to improve your conveyance.

For instance, if you need a flush top to protect your parts, we weld the pan high on the loops. Or, if you require thicker pans to carry your material, we simply integrate thicker material.  Additionally, Transcon installs special cleats when you need to move your parts uphill.

Additional options include mesh screen to protect your parts or allow for faster cooling.  Transcon will replace the belt pans with an open structure to support the weight of your parts and then cover the belt in a mesh screen.  You get the robustness of a welded hinge design with the belt surface you need.

When you see a shortfall in your conveyance system, contact our team. We will evaluate your current situation and show you how we can improve it. Transcon is committed to helping customers increase their production levels with highest quality equipment and innovative design.

Chip Removal Conveyors

Chip-out conveyors are ubiquitous in the machining industry. Transcon builds heavy duty chip-out conveyors that can handle fine, chips, cut-offs, and machining fluids, and efficiently move it away from your machining center.

Scrap Handling Systems

Moving scrap from press lines and consolidating multiple lines into a single discharge location is a Transcon specialty. We have long experience designing and building some of the largest systems. Increasingly, press lines must accommodate steel and aluminum scrap and flexibility keep it segregated until it is discharged. We can help you determine which sort of system will work best in your circumstances.

Getting a large scrap bin or railcar evenly filled with press working scrap to optimize freight charges is often hard to achieve. Transcon Conveyor has several off-loading options to achieve even loading. A simple swivel chute (activated by hand or automatically) will fill small tubs well. Shuttle conveyors can evenly fill the larger roll-aways or rail cars. These systems are usually equipped with sensors to keep your scrap moving and going into a tub. We start with your operations and economics and offer you options to meet your needs.

Whether your application is light or heavy duty, our engineering and manufacturing experts can create a customized conveyor solution to meet the demands of your operations.

Heavy Duty Conveyors for the Forging Industry

Transcon designs and manufactures custom conveyors to meet the demanding needs of the forging industry. Customer features include conveyors engineered to modify process temperature of parts through the conveyor which can reduce secondary machining and finishing costs and enhance the performance of the parts. Transcon’s conveyors for forging can reduce costs, increase productivity and reduce downtime.

If you are forging and need a wide belt with lots of heat sink capabilities and a low surface area, our bar belt designs can provide the exact configuration you need. We can even offer 72-inch wide conveyor belts without any issues with heat deflection, a major factor in reducing belt life. If parts need to cool down slowly for metallurgical processing, these conveyors can accommodate differential heat levels, so your belt will not warp and your conveyor tracking remains true. If parts need to cool down fast, these conveyors can accommodate high air flow moving upward through the belt to increase heat transfer.

Multi-lane conveyor belts are sometimes the best solution to separate parts from scrap, but sometimes the specific circumstances do not allow for the parts and scrap to be loaded and discharged on the same belt. Our piggy-back design (just like it sounds—one conveyor atop another) allows you to shoehorn two single lane conveyors into a smaller space with loading and discharging in different locations and at different heights.
