Transcon Awarded Design Patent for Continuous Radius Conveyor Plates

Transcon Conveyor has been awarded a United States Design Patent (US D1,060,924 S) by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for its Continuous Radius Conveyor Plates.

This patented design addresses a common issue found in traditional conveyor systems where chording gaps can create problems during part transfer. In many applications, these gaps allow pick-and-place devices, such as tongs or grippers, to catch while interacting with parts that have been discharged onto a tray at the end of the conveyor. This can result in damaged tooling, conveyor components, catch trays, and even jammed parts that disrupt production.
